넷플릭스 스위트홈 감상 후기

어제 공개된 넷플릭스의 새로운 오리지널 시리즈 "스위트 홈"을 하루만에 다 봐버렸다.

사실 이 작품의 원작인 웹툰은 아예 보지도 않고, 넷플릭스에서 공개된 티져만을 보고 엄청 기대를 했다.

비슷한 느낌의 킹덤도 아무생각없이 시청했다가 너무나 재밌게 봤고, 스핀오프인 아신전과 시즌 3이 빨리 나오기만을 기다리고 있다.

근데 왠걸, 이번에 공개된 스위트홈의 티져를 보면서 킹덤때 만큼이나 독특한 세계관이나 연출등이 왠지 재미있을거 같은 느낌이 들었고, 공개되면 바로 봐야겠다 생각했었다.

그래서 공개가 되자마자 바로 전편을 정주행 해 버렸다는.

 

일단 극 초반에는 극의 분위기를 확실하게 보여준다. 꽤나 잔인하고 자극적인 연출이 화면을 가득 채우고있고,

다소 불편할만한 내용들이 극중에 계속 보여진다. 심하게 고어한 장면들도 많이 나오는 편이니 이런걸 싫어하시는분들은 피하시는게 좋을지도.

확실히 아포칼립스를 다루는 드라마의 내용답게 극중에 보여지는 인간들의 욕망과 극단적인 개인주의가 보는내내 계속 나를 불편하게 만들었다.

하지만, 이런 암울한 세계관을 꽤나 재미있게 연출하고 끌어가는 것이 10편을 한번에 다 볼 수 있게 만들었고, 앞으로 어떤식으로 이 세계를 끌고 나갈것인가 큰 기대를 가지게 되었다.

 

극이 전개되는 중에 다소 루즈하게 흘러가는 부분이 좀 있긴 하지만, 그러다가 확 분위기가 반전되면서 새로운 캐릭터들과 사건을 만들어내면서 계속 쫄깃쫄깃하게 극을 끌어간다. 

특히 특전사 출신의 소방관 역활의 이시영이나, 해결사 이진욱의 캐릭터가 상당히 매력있게 보여지고, 조연으로 등장하는 모든 캐릭터들이 꽤나 재미있는 설정으로 계속 보여지고 다들 연기도 너무 잘하셔서 10화까지 꽤나 몰입도 있게 드라마를 볼 수 있었다.

 

이 드라마는 편당 30억 정도의 예산으로 엄청난 물량을 쏟아부어 만들어 냈는데, 확실히 넷플릭스의 자본력이 붙어 기존의 한국 드라마에서는 볼 수 없는, 아마 다시는 볼 수 없을지도 모르는 엄청난 비주얼의 드라마를 만들어 냈다고 생각된다. 원작을 보신분들이나 팬들이시라면 어쩌면 실망하실 수도 있겠지만, 원작을 빼놓고 드라마로써만 봤을때 난 꽤나 잘 만든 느낌이라는 생각이 든다. 

 

시즌 1의 마지막에 여러개의 떡밥을 뿌려 두었는데, 시즌 2부터 극이 어떻게 전개될지 무척 기대된다.

 

I watched Netflix's new original series "Sweet Home," which was released yesterday, in one day.
In fact, I didn't watch the original webtoon at all, but I was very excited to see only the teaser released on Netflix.
I watched "Kingdom" without thinking and enjoyed it so much, and I'm just waiting for the spin-off Ashinjeon and season 3 to come out quickly.
But watching the teaser of the sweet home released this time, I felt that the unique worldview and production would be as interesting as it was during the Kingdom, and I thought I should watch it as soon as it was released.
So as soon as it was released, I watched the whole series.

At the beginning of the drama, it clearly shows the atmosphere of it. It's a pretty brutal and stimulating production that's filling the screen.
Some uncomfortable content continues to be seen in the drama. There are a lot of scenes with a lot of gore, so if you don't like it, you should avoid it's better to avoid it.
Clearly, the desire and extreme individualism of humans in the drama, which deals with Apocalypse, continued to make me uncomfortable all the time.
However, creating and dragging this gloomy world view has made it possible to watch all 10 episodes at once, and I have high expectations on how to lead the world in the future.

There are some loose parts of the drama as it unfolds, but then the atmosphere turns around, creating new characters and events and continuing to lead the play with chewy texture.
In particular, the characters of Lee Si-young, a firefighter-turned-specialist, and Lee Jin-wook, a troubleshooter, continued to be seen in quite interesting settings, and everyone was so good at acting that they could watch the drama until episode 10.

The drama was created with a budget of about 3 billion won per episode, and it is believed that Netflix's capitalization has definitely created a huge visual drama that may never be seen again in existing Korean dramas. If you've seen the original film or if you're a fan, you might be disappointed, but I think it's quite well-made when you see it in a drama except for the original.

At the end of season 1, several hints for season2 are showed, and I'm very excited about how the drama will develop from season 2.
