코로나 팬데믹 사회적 거리두기 2단계와 우리 삶의 변화 Covid19 Pandemic changing lifes.

2020년은 전세계가 엉망진창이다. 코로나 발병 이후 너무 많은것들을 잃었고, 너무 많은것들이 변해버렸다.

 

특히 나와 가장 관계가 깊은 관광산업은 직격탄을 맞았고, 우리내 삶은 크나큰 시련을 계속 견뎌내야만 하는 상황에 처했다.

 

지난 2월 대구 사태를 시작으로 이곳 강원도 고성도 꽤나 큰 타격이 있었지만 잘 버티고 있고, 아직은 확진자 2명이라 다른곳에 비해서는 크게 안심 할 수 있는 상황이다.

 

2020 is a mess all over the world. Too much has been lost since the outbreak of Corona, too much has changed.

In particular, the tourism industry, which is most related to me, was directly hit, and our lives were in a situation where we had to continue to endure great hardships.

Starting with the Daegu incident in February, Goseong, Gangwon Province, has been hit hard, but it is still holding out well, and there are still two confirmed cases, so we can be very relieved compared to other places.

사실 2~5월까지의 상황은 우리 숍에는 큰 영향은 없었다. 어차피 서핑 숍의 특성상 5월까지는 여름 장사를 준비하고 6월 부터 본격적인 시즌이 시작되기 때문이다. 그래서 우리는 밀려왔던 숍의 정비와 여러가지 일들을 처리해 왔고, 국가 지원금을 통한 여러가지 사업을 큰 무리 없이 마무리 할 수 있었다.

In fact, the situation from February to May had no significant impact on my shop. Due to the nature of surfing shops, the company will prepare for summer business by May and start the season in earnest from June. So we've been dealing with the maintenance of the shops and other things that have been pushed back, and we've been able to finish a lot of projects through state funding without a hitch.

 

그리고 여름이 시작 되면서, 아주 희망적인 상태로 ( 사회적 거리두기가 본격적으로 시작되면서, 확진자의 증가폭이 확 줄어들었다.) 숍을 오픈 할수 있었고 다행이 적지않은 수의 손님들이 숍을 찾아 주시기 시작했다. 하지만, 우리도 우리의 건강이 너무나 걱정되기에, 체열 측정과 방문자 기록을 철저히 했고, 수시로 손소독과 전체적인 방역을 실시했다. 하지만 그런 낙관적인 상황도 그리 길게 가지는 못했다. 지난 8월15일 광화문 집회를 시작으로 다시 폭발적으로 늘어나는 확진자 수에 정부는 사회적 거리두기 2.5단계를 긴급 발동했고, 이 여파는 그대로 우리에게 이어져 8.20 일 부터의 예약이 거의 100% 취소되는 상태에 이르렀다.

And as summer began, it was very hopeful (as social distinctions began in earnest, the increase in confirmed cases decreased significantly). I was able to open the shop and fortunately a considerable number of customers started to visit the shop. However, we were so worried about our health that we had to thoroughly measure body heat and record visitors, and frequently carried out hand sterilization and overall quarantine.However, such an optimistic situation did not last very long. Starting with the Gwanghwamun rally on Aug. 15, the government urgently invoked 2.5 stages of social distance, and the aftermath continued to us, leading to nearly 100 percent cancellation of reservations from Aug. 20.

그렇게 여름은 끝이었다. 9월 10월로 이어지면서 계속 예약율은 줄어들고, 날씨가 점점 추워지자 손님들의 발길이 뚝 끊겼다. 어느덧 올해도 이제 한달여 밖에 남지않았는데, 도대체 어떻게 이 사태를 버텨나가야할지 막막하기만 하다. 시골마을의 특성상 어딘가에서 다른 일을 찾는것도 쉽지않고, 일을 구한다 하더라도 월급이나 복지는 도시의 그것과는 비교가 되지않는다. 

So the summer was over. The reservation rate continued to decline, leading to September October, and as the weather became colder, customers stopped coming. This year is only a month away, and I am at a loss how to survive this situation. Due to the nature of the rural village, it is not easy to find another job somewhere, and even if you are looking for a job, salary and welfare are not comparable to that of the city.

여기저기 일할곳을 찾아 보았다. 대부분 정규직이나 계약직을 찾고 있다. 가뜩이나 일 할 사람이 부족한 동네이다보니, 어쨌든 일자리는 있지만, 나도 나의 메인 직업이있는지라 그런곳에서 무책임하게 몇달만 일하고 나올 수는 없어 시간제로 일 할만한 곳을 찾고있는데, 그런곳은 진짜 구하기가 힘들다.

그래서 집사람과 이런저런 얘기를 하다가 내린 결론은 내가 잘하는 일을 하자. 온라인 마케팅과 블로그 등을 주 업무로 십여년을 일 해 왔으니 그 경력을 살려 블로그도 더 열심히 하고 이번 기회에 유튜브도 본격적으로 해 보기로 마음먹었다.

I looked everywhere for work. Most of them are looking for full-time or contract positions. Since there are not enough people to work in the neighborhood, I have a job anyway, but I can't work irresponsibly for a few months because I have my main job, so I'm looking for a place to work part-time, which is really hard to find.

So the conclusion I came up with while talking with my wife is to do what I'm good at. Since I have been working on online marketing and blogs for more than a decade, I decided to use that career to work harder on blogs and take this opportunity to do YouTube in earnest.

 

이제 이곳 블로그나 유튜브 채널에서는 내가 이곳 강원도 고성으로 이주하면서 겪고있는 일상적인것들을 주로 업로드 할 생각인데, 어쩌면 귀농이나 귀촌 등을 생각하시는 분들에게 작은 도움이라도 드릴 수 있지 않을까 싶다. 혹시나 이것들을 보시고, 궁금한것이 있으신 분들은 언제든지 연락을 주셔도 된다. 내가 아는 선에서는 최대한 답변해 드리고 도와 드릴 예정이다.
